BSAT Essays on Sporting Artists
So far the British Sporting Art Trust has produced sixty four essays covering many aspects of British sporting art. They cover a wide range of subjects from major artists such as George Stubbs and John Ferneley to the lesser known such as John Vine of Colchester and James Baldock of Worksop, the art of individual sports such as archery and angling and the use of sporting art to decorate snuff boxes.

In October 2013  the Trust was pleased to cooperate with the The Hunting Museum Trust in holding  a highly successful two-day Symposium at the Museum on the Melton Mowbray sporting artist John Ferneley. A remarkable exhibition of Ferneley’s work was presented in the Melton Carnegie  Museum’s art gallery from October until the end of 2013.
 
The next essay will present a series of papers given at the symposium that ran on October 30th and 31st 1013.
